🎨 Namaste, I'm Dr. Kalyani Gelada. My journey with acrylic painting on canvas began in 2010—though my love for art started far earlier. Ever since I was eight, I’ve been captivated by the way colors breathe life onto paper. To refine my passion, I trained under a reputed mentor in 2011, deepening my connection to the craft.
Each stroke of my brush seeks to break the silence of a blank canvas—transforming it with glimpses of real life, abstract forms, and spontaneous inspirations that speak to my soul.

Artist Statement
I paint to feel deeply—letting color, light, and texture carry emotion to the surface.
Between the precision of the scalpel and the freedom of the brush lies my practice. By day, I serve as a surgeon; by soul, I am an artist. On canvas, I breathe. I’m not chasing fame—only the honesty of moments, the weight of silence, and the way color can hold a memory.
My work moves between real life and abstraction, searching for harmony where intuition meets discipline. Each piece is an invitation to pause, to notice, and to feel. If it stirs something in you, the painting has done its work—and so have I.

Observation
I spend time in nature, sketching and photographing, absorbing the colors, light, and emotions of each scene. This deep observation becomes the foundation of my artistic vision.
Composition
Back in the studio, I create detailed sketches and color studies, planning the composition and color harmony. This careful planning ensures every element serves the artistic vision.
Creation
Using traditional oil painting techniques, I build layers of color and texture to bring the vision to life. Each brushstroke is deliberate, creating depth and emotional resonance.
